A Personal Word to My Readers

90 posts and counting – I think Maximize My Life is here to stay.  Excitement at how many people are reading on almost every continent captivates me every time I check my Google Analytics.

This is honestly how I feel. Wowed. Like how? Why would people in Tasmania (Australia), Kerala (India), Berlin (Germany), Washington (U.S.) and Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago) want to read what I write? | Photo by Torbein

Every day I feel increasing inspiration to write. I love the community that is slowly forming here. Forming around the idea that “we can do so much more with our lives”.

To everyone that reads, to everyone that supports – thank you.

Requesting Your Patience

In another life, I am a law student with responsibilities that make maintaining this blog tremendously difficult sometimes.

Over the next 2 weeks (Monday May 14 – Friday May 25) I will be doing my first set of exams in this final 2 years of my (5 year) program. 6 exams, 8 subjects, on every Monday, Wednesday  and Friday for 2 weeks.

There may be some turbulence on the blog. I ask for your patience in the following areas:

1. Comments:

I will not be as available to respond to comments and emails. I will respond as soon as possible, just not instantly.

2. Posting:

I should have enough content to last me 2 weeks. If I run out, post late, or have to skip a day however, please bear with me.

Please note also:

1. There have been changes to the site:

I have changed the commenting system. This is to improve the conversation. You may tag your friends on Facebook and Twitter directly. Test it out!

2. I would love to hear from you:

How may I improve this blog? How may I serve you better? What are the burning issues central to your life that I am not addressing? I would love to hear your feedback – how you have been finding the content, the focus and message of this blog.  *EMAIL ME

Can I Just Give Some Shout Outs?

TO:

  1. All my subscribers, who have entrusted me with the priceless value of your “time” and “attention”;
  2. Nikeisha in Trinidad & Tobago who has encouraged me from the jump and helped me (to proofread, edit, brainstorm) a million times;
  3. Shauna in Washington whose insightful emails always inspire me (and whose friendship ;
  4. Stephen in Kingston for your expensive but always beneficial consultancy,
  5. Vanessa who always gives me timely and balanced insight, (from way in Barbados!)
  6. EVERYONE that remembered to like the Facebook page!
  7. EVERYONE that shares content that they read with their friends,
  8. And so many more without whom I could not maintain this project,

THANK YOU.

I value each and every one of you and I am working diligently to ensure I improve my content consistently. Thank you.

P.S. Please Pray for my exams!

Thank You!

6 Excellent Things About Reach Record’s Man Up Campaign, PLUS 1 BIG BLUNDER

From the Don’t Waste Your Life Campaign to the new Man Up Campaign, the boys over at Reach Records seem to be clocking a 24 hour shift to both share and personify their message that young people (especially men) can and should be unashamed about their faith.

116 Man Up Anthem

Excellent.

I’ve listened to all the songs and I’ve watched the trailer and for me, there are 6 things that really make this current campaign stand out. Continue reading 6 Excellent Things About Reach Record’s Man Up Campaign, PLUS 1 BIG BLUNDER

Are My Goals Really SMART? (Help me re-evaluate, please.)

I have been writing on how to use planning to achieve big goals – you should check out the other articles in the series. I recently shared with you my TOP 5 plans for the next 6 months and I thought it would be helpful for you if we analyzed one of my goals together, to see if it is S.M.A.R.T. Hopefully, this analysis will help you in making your own plans.

My TOP 6 Plans for the next 6 Months!

Yes, you may find my plans weird. I am fine with that. You may even find a few of them silly. I'm fine with that as well. I know that my family and friends find "weird" many of the things I find "meaningful." Often times when I share my aspirations with friends the only response I get (in addition to some raise eyebrows) is – “why?”

I, however, am excited and shameless about my life! I mean, cymbals clashing, draw-all-attention-to-my-own-wierdness kind of shamelssnes. Continue reading My TOP 6 Plans for the next 6 Months!
